The San Antonio Spurs have beaten the Phoenix Suns twice in as many games.
They were able to come back after being down 20 to — literally — steal a win in an exciting matchup, but Devin Booker and Bradley Beal were out with an injury.
Then, with Booker back on the court, they dominated from start to finish and were able to hold on after the Suns attempted a late-game comeback.
That’s why Gregg Popovich’s team will have bragging rights over Frank Vogel’s squad until further notice, no matter what.
With that in mind, Spurs star Jeremy Sochan called out Hoop Central on Twitter for showing a clip of Devin Booker talking trash against him and not showing the final outcome of the game.
Booker has made his fair share of enemies in the league for all the yapping he does, and while he’s definitely a rising star and one of the best scorers in the game, his trophy shelf is empty.
Sochan, on the other hand, is the kind of pesky player who won’t hesitate to get under his rival’s skin, and while he struggled to keep Booker in check last night, he did help his team get the win.
Booker coming back is huge for the Suns.
The team got off to a slow start to the season without its leader.
But perhaps, he still needs to earn his stripes before doing all that talking, and Sochan will make sure to remind him of this day the next time their paths cross.
