Texas A&M wide receiver Micah Hudson has stepped away from the football program’s day-to-day activities, according to a report.
Hudson, who transferred to Texas A&M after his freshman year at Texas Tech, was part of a standout group of wide receivers joining the Aggies in 2025. However, per Pete Nakos of On3, Hudson is reportedly taking a temporary leave from the program.
A former 5-star recruit in the 2024 class, Hudson was ranked 25th overall, 5th among wide receivers, and 4th in Texas by 247Sports. Born in Temple, Texas, Hudson opted to remain in-state for his college career, transferring to Texas A&M after starting his journey at Texas Tech.
Despite his potential, Hudson had a limited impact during his injury-shortened freshman season in 2024, recording just 8 receptions for 123 yards across 5 games.
Hudson initially chose Texas Tech in a close recruiting battle that included Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma. Now at Texas A&M, his involvement with the program is currently paused.
