Georgia football is actively pursuing top talent in the 2026 recruiting class as they work to strengthen their No. 12-ranked class. With only five commitments so far, head coach Kirby Smart and his staff still have plenty of work ahead.
Fortunately, a highly regarded prospect is set to announce his college decision soon, and Georgia appears to be in a strong position in his recruitment.
4-Star CB Jorden Edmonds
Jorden Edmonds, a four-star cornerback from Marietta, GA, is a coveted recruit in the 2026 class. According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 53 overall player nationally, the No. 5 cornerback in his class, and the No. 4 player in Georgia.
As reported by Chad Simmons of On3, Edmonds will reveal his commitment on February 19—his birthday—making it a significant day for him and his family. He is choosing between five powerhouse programs: Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
While no official predictions have been made yet, Alabama is currently viewed as the frontrunner with a 48.9% chance of landing Edmonds, according to On3. However, Georgia remains a strong contender with a 32.3% chance.
Recruiting projections aren’t always definitive, so Georgia could still emerge as the top choice. Edmonds’ recent visit to Athens for Junior Day in mid-January and his in-state ties are promising signs for the Bulldogs.
With his announcement approaching, expert predictions will likely come soon, and Georgia fans will be watching closely to see if the Bulldogs can secure another elite addition to their 2026 class.
