IT’S NOT TRUE: CLUB SAY THERE IS ‘NO QUESTION’ OF £10M STRIKER JOINING WOLVES IN JANUARY..

Rafiu Durosinmi is valued at £10 million by Wolverhampton Wanderers, a Premier League team, however Viktoria Plzen maintains that there is “no question of a transfer at the moment.”

That’s what we thought they might say.

Rafiu Durosinmi’s availability was hardly going to be advertised by Viktoria Plzen, who were floundering at the top of the Czech league table and struggling to find consistency. The Telegraph reported that Wolves and clubs in the German Bundesliga were interested in signing him.

Durosinmi has been a shining light in a difficult season for Plzen

The latest in an increasingly long line of talented Nigerian forwards, the 20-year-old has an impressive nine goals and six assists in all competitions across 2023/24.

Vaclav Hanlik, a spokesman for Plzen, did neither confirm or refute claims that suggested Durosinmi might be headed for a £10 million deal when speaking to CTK. He does, however, state that as of right now, the club has not received a bid that they would deem acceptable.

According to Hanzlik, “there isn’t a specific offer on the table right now that would meet our expectations.”

“Therefore, a transfer cannot possibly be discussed at this time.”

The Telegraph is adamant that Wolves will pursue a number nine in January. Sasa Kalajdzic hasn’t shown to be a consistent member of Gary O’Neil’s starting lineup, and Matheus Cunha is still a waste of goal, so the team is worrisomely dependent on Hwang Hee-Chan’s career-best purple patch.

Durosinmi is not yet the completed work. After all, the 6′ 4″ forward is only 20 years old, and occasionally his first touch seems a little sloppy. But Durosinmi’s potential is undeniable; he draws comparisons to former Arsenal forwards Emmanuel Adebayor and Kanu while making superb use of his massive frame.

The Daily Mail made the connection between Brighton and Hove Albion a few weeks ago. Interestingly, when it comes to finding diamonds in the rough, Roberto de Zerbi’s team rarely makes a mistake.

Eintracht Frankfurt, another team vying for Durosinmi’s signature, is known for bringing in the game’s next big-name forwards.
