He’s Leaving: Expensive player of the Dolphins speaks out about his decision to join Miami and leave the Saints…

A strong contender for Super Bowl LVIII is the Miami Dolphins. As entertaining to watch as any NFL offensive, the Dolphins’ balanced and stacked offense is led by wide receiver Tyreek Hill, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and coach Mike McDaniel.

On Monday, it was announced that the Dolphins are signing Jason Pierre-Paul, the longtime New York Giants standout who has played just one game for the New Orleans Saints this season.

Pierre-Paul was signed of the Saints’ practice squad.

In a message released by NFL Media content editor Grant Gordon, Pierre-Paul thanked the Dolphins for the opportunity. The South Florida native has nearly 100 sacks in 14 years in the NFL.

Following the signing, fans took to social media to react.

Pierre-Paul was once a household name and defensive line mate of superstar analyst Michael Strahan, the NFL’s all-time sacks leader.

Now, he is presumed to be in the twilight of his career. A fireworks accident and hand injury in 2016 added to adversity that Pierre-Paul, a former defensive end-turned-linebacker, has faced over the course of his career.

Pierre-Paul played his college ball at the University of Central Florida.

The gifted, athletic, intelligent, and highly motivated linebacker had 9.5 sacks for the Bucs in 2020, but his output hasn’t been the same since.

“I too would have taken off. This team won’t win many more games this season,” a fan remarked, seemingly taking the New Orleans Saints approach to the matter.

Let’s go, another enthusiast exclaimed. Another fan said, “Take my money,” perhaps alluding to their plan to buy Dolphins game tickets shortly.
