The Boston Bruins continue their brief two-game road swing as they face the Dallas Stars on Thursday night at the American Airlines Center.
Boston heads into the matchup riding the momentum of a thrilling 3-2 comeback win against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dallas enters fresh off a commanding 7-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday.
The Bruins will be without defenseman Hampus Lindholm, who sustained a significant lower-body injury during the St. Louis game and is expected to miss several weeks. In response, defenseman Jordan Oesterle was called up and will join the third defensive pairing alongside Parker Wotherspoon.
Oesterle, 32, has recorded eight points (three goals, five assists) in nine games with the Providence Bruins this season. The seasoned veteran has appeared in 371 NHL games over his 11-year career.
Jeremy Swayman will get the start in goal for Boston, coming off a strong performance in which he stopped 20 of 22 shots against the Blues.
Puck drop is set for 8 p.m. ET, with coverage on NESN starting an hour earlier with pregame analysis.
