BREAKING: New York Jets Make Stunning Quarterback Move…

The New York Jets have simply been a circus this season. Now, that circus is continuing with a stunning quarterback announcement. What is that announcement? Let’s take a look.

According to Ari Meirov, the New York Jets plan to release QB Tim Boyle. He started two games for the Jets and was benched during Week 13’s loss against the Atlanta Falcons. In Boyle’s two starts, he went 41/63, threw for 227 passing yards, one touchdown pass, two fumbles, and three interceptions.

Boyle has played in the NFL for five years. However, he only started three games before this year.

If things were not chaotic enough with the New York Jets, there is also a QB signing in Meirov’s report. He says that the New York Jets plan to sign veteran QB Brett Rypien.

For those of you who have followed Rypien this year, you know he has been on a journey. If these reports are true, this will be Rypien’s third team just in 2023.

Rypien started this season on the Los Angeles Rams. He started one game for them when QB Matthew Stafford was out due to a thumb injury. In that loss against the Green Bay Packers, he went 13/28, and threw for 130 passing yards, along with an interception and two fumbles.

Shortly after that, Rypien was released by the Rams. He has been on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad ever since. Now, there is a good chance that he could be heading to the New York Jets.

This news comes shortly after the Jets made headlines just a few weeks ago. After their Week 11 loss against the Buffalo Bills, it was announced that Tim Boyle would start the next game. Zach Wilson has not returned since.

If that was not enough, Jets fans have not been kind about the recent quarterback controversy. Reports came out recently that Wilson could get the starting job back in Week 14. However, there seems to be a disagreement between Wilson and head coach Robert Saleh about this at the moment.
