Ceedee Lamb, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, had been playing exceptionally well before last week’s victory against the lowly Carolina Panthers. In the previous three games, he had received over 150 yards receiving, and in the previous four, he had received over 110 yards. This accomplishment was so remarkable that it even got Lamb into the NFL record books.
With a sprained ankle, Lamb had to leave the game in the first half of the Cowboys’ 33-10 victory over Carolina, which understandably upset the Cowboy supporters. Nevertheless, it appears that Lamb might recover quickly enough to play against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving, according to Tom Pelissero.
The NFL’s most polarizing team has always been the Dallas Cowboys. From the United States’ conflicted feelings for “America’s Team” to the numerous discussions surrounding Dak Prescott’s status as a legitimate franchise quarterback. At 7-3, they appear ready to contend for the NFC’s #5 slot and the #2 spot in their NFC East division, behind only the league-leading 9-1 Philadelphia Eagles.
Offensively, this team has always been able to put up points, ranking 2nd in the NFL in points per game in 2023, only behind the electric Miami Dolphins (who put up 70 points in just one game against the Denver Broncos).
Ceedee Lamb is unquestionably the top receiver in this offense and is essential to the success of the Dallas Cowboys, even if they also have useful outside weapons in Brandon Cooks and the chronically injured Michael Gallup.
Particularly since the Dallas Cowboys’ schedule gets significantly harder after Thanksgiving than that of the team’s more recent opponents, like the Carolina Panthers and the Tommy DeVito-led New York Giants. The Dallas Cowboys play the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, and Seattle Seahawks, five teams that are likely to make the playoffs.
Having Ceedee Lamb back with them will definitely help them get through this difficult five-week stretch, which will undoubtedly reveal more about the genuine veracity of this team’s Super Bowl ambitions.
