Beyoncé’s Latest Album, “Cowboy Carter,” Breaks Significant Spotify Record.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, which was released on March 29, 2024, has already shattered a significant record on Spotify. Before the full day was up, the streaming service declared that the record had become the most streamed single-day album of 2024.
This year’s #1 album is a country record for the first time. In addition, Cowboy Carter holds the record for having more first-day streaming on Amazon Music worldwide than any of Beyoncé’s previous albums and the most first-day streams of any country album by a female artist in the platform’s history. Additionally, before the album’s complete release, over 200 million listens to its lead track, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” were made on Spotify.
“This album has been over five years in the making,” she concluded. It all started with an encounter I had years ago when I didn’t feel welcome.and I wasn’t, that much was evident. However, as a result of that encounter, I researched our extensive musical library and dug deeper into the history of country music. It is encouraging to see how music can bring people together from all over the world and raise the profile of some of the individuals who have devoted their entire lives to teaching about our musical heritage.

Willie Nelson, Linda Martell, Tanner Adell, Willie Jones, Raphael Saadiq, The-Dream, and Shaboozey are among the vocalists on the album, which features a variety of covers and collaborations.
