The San Francisco 49ers face the Seattle Seahawks this weekend in a crucial Week 14 matchup, and quarterback Brock Purdy is in for a tough matchup.“It’s going to be a dog fight as always,” Purdy told reporters Thursday via the 49ers’ official YouTube account.

On the season, the 23-year-old threw for 3,185 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions, completing a league-high 70.2 percent of his passes and posting an NFL-best passer rating of 116.1.Purdy is a leading candidate for the MVP award, which is quite an achievement considering he was selected by the 49ers as the final pick of the draft last year.
The Iowa State product began his rookie season as the club’s third-string quarterback, but was forced into the position after season-ending injuries to both Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance. Purdy was so impressive that he eventually won the San Francisco starting quarterback job for good.The Niners are 9-3 entering Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. Meanwhile, Seattle is 6-6.
