Just In: Devin Booker calls out Suns teammate during loss to Mavs…

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker wasn’t in a good mood Monday during his team’s double-digit loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Suns were blanked by the Mavs 128-114 on Christmas Day at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. One play in particular early in the third quarter particularly irked Booker. Suns big man Chimezie Metu fed a lazy pass intended for Booker straight into the hands of defenseman Luka Doncic. The Mavs star easily converted a layup on a fast break to give his team a 69-56 lead. Booker berating Metu for not running back to defend the play was heard on the ESPN broadcast.”Why don’t you go back?” Are you just going to turn the ball over and not bring it back? Boeker asked. The Suns locker room doesn’t appear to be festive during the holidays. Durant looked way too angry after missing a shot during warmups. However, Durant may have been upset by more than just a practice shot. A report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski detailed Durant’s alleged frustration with his “disappointing supporting cast” in “Phoenix.”Booker and Durant combined for just 36 points on 10/25 shooting from the field. The Suns duo were single-handedly outplayed by Doncic, who scored 50 points and 15 assists in the Christmas Day clash.
