Injury Update: Suns Coach Frank Vogel Updates Devin Booker Injury…

The Phoenix Suns saw their seven-game winning streak snapped in the Great North as the Toronto Raptors came away with a 112-105 win to send Frank Vogel’s squad packing back home to the Valley.

It could best be described as an off night for Phoenix, who shot less than 30% from three-point land and trailed by 12 points through multiple points of the night.

The biggest headline emerging from Toronto was the status of Devin Booker, who made his way to the locker room for an unknown reason in the first quarter before quickly returning to action.

Just one quarter later, Booker awkwardly landed on his right ankle and limped to the sideline before eventually hitting the locker room again. Booker would re-enter the game and ultimately played 33 minutes, where he was spotted stretching and rolling his ankle between timeouts.

Booker finished with just eight points on 2-12 shooting from the field with five rebounds and five assists to pair with.

After the game, The Arizona Republic’s Duane Rankin caught up with Vogel, who spoke on Booker’s injury:

“He was just trying to tough it out, see if it would loosen up,” Vogel said.

Phoenix also hosts the Memphis Grizzlies for the second part of a back-to-back on Saturday before playing in the quarterfinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament next Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
