PHOENIX — Though the Phoenix Suns emerged victorious over the Sacramento Kings, the night was not without loss as Bradley Beal exited action halfway through the first quarter with a hamstring injury.
After he was evaluated by trainers on the bench, he was moved to the locker room and was soon ruled out for the remainder of the night.
After the game, Suns coach Frank Vogel ruled him out of tomorrow’s game against the Detroit Pistons.
“I know he’s out tomorrow. I don’t know what they call it exactly. But he pulled his hamstring. Strained his hamstring – I’ll call it a strain, a hamstring strain,” said Vogel.
“He’ll be out tomorrow but they don’t think it’s too serious. So hopefully with the break right after tomorrow’s game he doesn’t miss too much more time. We’ll see where he’s at.”
Beal is no stranger to injury woes this season. He began the preseason with lower back tightness and suffered from serious nerve pain that reportedly ran down his legs, plaguing him early in the regular season.
As of late, Beal has been dealing with a nasal fracture for roughly a month, though he hadn’t missed any time due to that and has played with a protective mask while deciding when to have potential surgery.
He also missed a stretch of games with an ankle injury.
The Suns are now winners of their last 13-of-17 with one more matchup coming against Detroit on Wednesday before the All-Star break.
In 29 games played, Beal is averaging 18.7 points on 49.3% shooting to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists per night.
