BBC REPORT: Suns front office ‘can feel’ Kevin Durant’s frustrations….

The Phoenix Suns currently sit in 11th place in the Western Conference. Bradley Beal’s constant absence from the rotation has seriously hampered the team’s plans.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who spoke on Monday’s episode of “NBA Countdown,” the Suns front office can “feel” Kevin Durant’s frustration with the current situation.“You talk to people in Phoenix and around this organization,” Wojnarowski said. “You can feel the frustration with Durant. Part of that is the games he missed with Bradley Beal. This team is built around these three stars. The disappointing supporting cast, coming off those huge trades for Durant and Beal, that destroyed that organization… That’s something they’re going to have to save in Phoenix with Kevin Durant. You’ve seen it before, and it’s a stark reminder of how short the time is and how this team needs to win big, and win big quickly.

Durant joined the Suns at the February trade deadline. Since then, the front office has done everything in their power to get him a championship-caliber roster. However, the company lacked quality in its search for star talent as the rotation progressed.Phoenix can’t afford for Durant to be disappointed with the Suns’ franchise. He gave up too much to acquire it and doubled down on the moves made during the offseason. Even at 35 years old, Durant is still a top 10 player in the NBA and is arguably the most talented scorer. He can still choose where he wants to play if he decides the Suns can’t match his ambitions in future seasons. Adding a third star with Beal was always going to be a risk. The Big Three was often seen as a role model, but this was rarely achieved in the NBA. Phoenix would have been better off deepening the bench rotation rather than pursuing Beal. However, hindsight is 20/20. Now all the Suns can do is try to fix things and get their season back on track. Otherwise, Durant could be looking for a new team in the not-too-distant future.
