New Nottingham Forest contract details surface as the crucial man’s transaction is nearing completion.

Details have emerged regarding Nottingham Forest’s contract talks with striker Chris Wood. The 33-year-old’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, but the club is eager to retain him and has been negotiating new terms with the New Zealand international.

The Daily Mail reports that Forest initially offered Wood a one-year extension. However, Wood is hoping for a minimum of a two-year deal and remains optimistic that an agreement will be reached.

“I can’t control or worry about when it happens,” Wood said previously about the contract talks. “It’s not something I can let affect me. These things take time, and I just need to focus on scoring goals, winning games, and doing well for the club.”

He added, “I still have the ambition and drive to play well into my 30s. It’s all about how you take care of your body and your nutrition off the pitch, which is crucial. I want to play for as long as I can.”
