Hart, who provides power and energy off the bench, recently talked about the signing as the Knicks’ “energy guy.”

“Yeah, it took 40 games.” He talked about fully embracing his role. “It was a process.” (via Stephen Bondi of The New York Post).

This season, Hart averaged 7.2 points per game for New York (compared to 8.3 for the Knicks). Before moving to the Big Apple, the 28-year-old played for the Portland Trail Blazers and New Orleans Pelicans, where he averaged 11.7 points and 10.7 points per game. He also scored a career-high 44 points for the Blazers.
