Phil Hay provides an update on two behind-the-scenes projects. Leeds United is dealing with continuing negotiations.
According to Phil Hay, Leeds United are hoping to expand their partnership with Nick Hammond and former Celtic Head of Recruitment Gary Penrice.
Despite the fact that Hammon’s interim spell ended with the close of the transfer window on Wednesday (11 October), negotiations have taken place about extending his stay.
Both he and Penrice are expected to be at Elland Road for the next two transfer windows if talks go well.
Hammond did not arrive to much fanfare and the feeling was that he’d be a stopgap option to help out with the new manager process and also the new ownership.
However, come the end of the window, few can raise questions over his application in the market and the signings made were pretty impressive.
