BREAKING: Marcus Rashford promises a transfer announcement while criticizing his teammates at Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford has vowed not to leave Manchester United on bad terms, unlike some of his former teammates who departed under a cloud of controversy.

The 27-year-old forward, who joined United’s academy at the age of seven, revealed on Tuesday that he is “ready for a new challenge” after spending nearly two decades at his boyhood club. United, reportedly open to selling their star academy product due to his dip in form over the past 18 months, could facilitate his departure.

Throughout his nine years with the first team, Rashford has witnessed several players leave the club amid public disputes. Determined to avoid a similar exit, the England international — who hasn’t featured for his country since the 2022 World Cup — aims to leave with dignity and respect.

“If I know a situation is already bad, I’m not going to make it worse,” Rashford told journalist Henry Winter during a visit to his former primary school, Button Lane, where he distributed Christmas presents. “I’ve seen how other players left in the past, and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave, I’ll make a statement, and it will come directly from me.”

Currently 12th on Manchester United’s all-time top goalscorers list, Rashford added: “When I leave, there will be no hard feelings. You won’t hear any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s just who I am.”

Rashford’s remarks follow his omission from United’s squad for the recent Manchester derby, which the team won 2-1 against rivals City. While his teammates played, Rashford trained alone at the club’s facility before watching the game from home.
