Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe admitted it was a frustrating night for his side after they were denied a famous win in the Champions League by a dramatic late equaliser.
The Magpies looked set to claim a memorable victory before a stoppage-time penalty from Lamine Yamal rescued a draw for FC Barcelona.
Speaking after the match, Howe acknowledged the result was difficult to accept given how well his team performed throughout the game. Newcastle had produced a strong display and appeared on course for all three points before the late twist.
While the manager praised his players for their effort and discipline against the Spanish giants, he admitted conceding so late made the outcome particularly painful, especially after the team had done enough to deserve victory.
