TRANSFER UPDATE: Juventus reject Man Utd & Chelsea offers for Kenan Yildiz

The 19-year-old shone during his breakout season with Juventus, netting four goals in 32 appearances for the club in the 2023/24 campaign. He followed that up with a promising Euro 2024 performance as Turkey advanced to the quarter-finals.

Unsurprisingly, his age, talent, and potential attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs over the summer. According to Corriere dello Sport, both Manchester United and Chelsea had offers for the winger turned down by Juventus.

Despite their clear intent to sign a winger during the summer transfer window, Man Utd ultimately refrained from strengthening in wide areas. Chelsea, on the other hand, secured Pedro Neto and brought in Jadon Sancho on loan from the Red Devils.

Other clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahce, and Aston Villa, were also linked with the promising teenager, but Juventus firmly resisted all offers. The Italian club succeeded in extending Yildiz’s contract in August, committing him to the team until 2029 and awarding him the iconic No.10 shirt, previously worn by legends such as Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio, and Michel Platini.

This season, Yildiz has flourished under new manager Thiago Motta, developing into a standout forward. He has contributed four goals and three assists across Serie A and the Champions League.

According to a recent report from Germany, Manchester United remain interested in Yildiz, with their new manager, Ruben Amorim, reportedly planning to bolster his attacking options in 2025.
