The Browns’ comeback win over the Browns set the stage for a piece of franchise history as Dustin Hopkins delivered another winning momentIt’s been a magical season for the 2023 Cleveland Browns.

And while they’ve tested the limits of the magic they’ve been given this season, a 20-17 win over the Bears on Sunday proved there’s still more to come.Entering Week 15, the Browns had won four games by scoring in the final two minutes of regulation. A 34-yard field goal by Dustin Hopkins with 30 seconds left became Cleveland’s fifth game-winning score this season. Those five wins in the final two minutes of regulation are a single-season franchise record. There may be no statistic that truly tells the story of the Browns’ 2023 season better than this. Through a series of season-ending injuries – now down to 14 players – and four different starting QBs, Cleveland continues to find ways to win. That philosophy has led him to a 9-5 record and the No. 1 wild-card spot in the AFC with three weeks to go. That wasn’t the only history made in the win over Chicago. After trailing by 10 points in the final stanza of the game, the Browns scored 13 unanswered points to outscore the Bears. Of course, leading the comeback was stalwart Joe Flacco, who, despite three interceptions in the first three quarters, ended up completing 11 of 13 passes for 212 yards and a second touchdown of the day. According to ESPN Stats and Information, 212 yards is the most a Browns quarterback has rushed in a quarter over the past 45 seasons. Meanwhile, the veteran gunslinger leaned heavily on his two favorite targets, David Njoku and Amari Cooper, en route to 374 yards on the day – the seventh-highest single-game passing yardage total in the Flacco’s career – to lead Cleveland to victory. That duo finished the game with 104 and 109 yards, respectively, marking the first time since 2013 that two Browns passers each received over 100 yards in a game. The latest combination of players to accomplish this feat: WR Josh Gordon and TE Jordan Cameron.
