PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Cleveland Browns defensive back Nate Meadors to a reserve/future deal, the team announced.
Meadors, 26, joined the Steelers’ practice squad late in the 2023 season but was released prior to their playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. He’ll now re-join the team ahead of OTAs and training camp with another opportunity to earn a roster spot in his sixth NFL season.
Meadors was originally an undrafted free agent out of UCLA who signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He spent two years in Minnesota, playing three games. He’s since spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and most recently, the Cleveland Browns.
He also played the 2023 season in the XFL as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks.
So far, the Steelers have signed 23 players to future/reserve contracts this offseason.
