Just In: The Baltimore Ravens Historic Dominance Get The Triple Crown On Defense….

The Baltimore Ravens are having a record season and the playoffs haven’t even started yet. They’re tied for first in the AFC and heading into a first-round bye this week, so we’ll be watching to see if their next victim makes it to the postseason.

Lamar Jackson’s offense is one of the best in the league, but the defense has done something that has never been done before in the NFL. The Ravens defense does everything well and should continue to do so come playoff time. Baltimore and Lamar Jackson have not fared well in the playoffs over the past five years. Lamar is 1-3 in the postseason and this is their best chance to not only go far in the postseason, but win it all. The Baltimore Ravens won the Triple Crown on defense. The Ravens have been great on both offense and defense this year and have done something they have never done before defensively. They have 60 sacks on the season and lead the league in that category because they are the best in the league at getting after the quarterback. They also led the league in opponents’ points per game with 16.5. They also led the league in overall scoring with 31 points.A defense that has never accomplished this feat in league history. There have been many great defenses over the years, but none have achieved the Triple Crown defense. The NFL’s fumble recoveries, points per game and opposing payouts are special and something we will never see again. If this team wants to achieve its goals, it will need its best defense in the coming months, and there are several offenses in the AFC. But no matter what happens in the postseason, winning the Triple Crown is special. Defenses generally do one thing well, even if it makes them terrible.Moving the entire NFL to reach, pick and drop quarterbacks with the fewest points per game historically makes defenses scary. If the Ravens can replicate their consistent defense in the postseason and Lamar Jackson plays well, they could win the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.
