Just In: Ravens Bring Back ‘Secret Agent’ After Stint With Divison Rival…

Tyler Huntley is back with the Baltimore Ravens and may be armed with key insights after a preseason stint with the Cleveland Browns. Huntley spent the entire offseason program and preseason with the Browns. He initially made the 53-man roster but it wasn’t for long. Cleveland had four quarter backs in the mix and was looking for a trade to materialize for one of them. When it never did, the Browns released Huntley and used the open roster spot to help another position.

Huntley spent minimal time as a free agent before the Ravens decided to reunite with their former Pro Bowl passer. Ravens fans are happy to have Huntley back in the mix. “Secret Agent Snoop coming back home,” one fan wrote.

Huntley joined the Ravens as an undrafted rookie out of Utah in 2020 and spent his first four seasons in Baltimore. He stepped up as the starting quarterback when reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson was sidelined by injuries on a few occasions. Over his time with the team, Huntley has compiled a 3-6 record as a starter and was named a Pro Bowl replacement in 2022. Huntley will initially sign to the Ravens’ practice squad. Veteran Josh Johnson is currently slated to be Jackson’s backup but fans would be happy to see Huntley in the No. 2 role.

“Good this is a good move no teaching process he already been here,” a fan wrote. “Our other backups aint it.” The Ravens open the season on Thursday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
