Breaking: Ravens Odell Beckham Jr. to ‘Take a Step Back’ Before Deciding…….

Baltimore Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. signed a one-year deal back in training camp, and now, attention turns to what his next move will be. After having a bounce-back season of sorts as he finished second in yards (565) among Ravens receivers, just what his next move will be is unknown. Odell hasn’t been shy of his love for Baltimore, but football is a business and whether or not he returns is up in the air.

As far as a timeline for deciding his future? With the scars of the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs still raw, Beckham Jr. will take some time away to think about his next move.

“As far as my future you know just take a step back, breathe for a second, pick your chin up, just know that life goes on and we’ll figure out what’s next after that,” Beckham Jr. said.

Not much was expected of Beckham Jr. this season as he was coming off a second ACL injury, and after being a slow burn to start his Ravens career, things picked up and against the Detroit Lions (5 rec, 49 yards), there was a glimpse of the old Odell. Beckham Jr. had a five-game stretch where he would haul in 17 catches for 246 yards and three touchdowns, with his four-reception, 116-yard game against the Cincinnati Bengals the highlight of the season. After a decent enough year with the Ravens, Odell came away with one overriding thought about this year.

“To me, if there’s anything I felt about myself regardless of anybody’s opinion or anything like that is that I know that I can still play football and I know that I still have s**t in the tank.”

With several key decisions looming for the Ravens this offseason, one might be whether or not to bring back Beckham Jr. who finally started to feel like himself. We saw glimpses of what he can still produce, but with a market value of $11.9 million APY per spotrac.com, will that be enough to entice the Baltimore hierarchy to bring him back?
