DONE: A 16-year-old striker who can play for Ghana Nigeria and England practices with the Arsenal first team.

Tri-national striker Andre Harriman-Annous was invited to join the first-team training session by manager Mikel Arteta ahead of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium, according to allnigeriasoccer.com.

The 16-year-old is eligible to play for Nigeria, Ghana, and England, the latter being his birthplace and home.

Harriman-Annous has impressed for Arsenal’s youth teams this season, scoring on his debuts in several competitions, including the UEFA Youth League, EFL Trophy, FA Youth Cup, and U18 Premier League Cup.

Arteta observed his performance during a Tuesday training session at Sobha Realty Training Centre in London Colney, evaluating whether to include him in the matchday squad for the Crystal Palace match.

The Spanish manager had previously given full debuts to two other Nigerian-descent teenagers, Ethan Nwaneri and Josh Nichols, in a third-round tie against Bolton Wanderers.

A product of Arsenal’s Hale End Academy, Harriman-Annous is in the first year of his scholarship with the club. He has scored 11 goals across all competitions this season, including five in the U18 Premier League, two in the U18 Premier League Cup, and one each in the EFL Trophy, UEFA Youth League, FA Youth Cup, and Premier League 2.

Meanwhile, Nigerian forward Franco Umeh-Chibueze is recovering from a hamstring injury and is expected to miss the Crystal Palace match.
