JUST IN: David Moyes plans immediate return once Lopetegui gets Sacked Tonight

The background chatter intensifies as Lopetegui readies his West Ham team for tonight’s match against Wolves. After his difficult press conference last week, multiple reports now express sympathy for the Spanish manager, who appeared visibly distressed by some of the questions. He tried to maintain his dignity while being pressed about the club’s search for his replacement.

This continues until Max Allegri takes over at the end of the 2024/5 season, apparently.

I’m not sure how to feel about that. The team’s performance has dropped so low, and the constant talk of conflicts and players leaving in January has become so disheartening, that I’m actually ‘undecided’ about Allegri—someone I was eager to see leave just last summer.

If Allegri is truly the chosen one and signs a contract to begin in the summer, Moyes could certainly do the job of keeping West Ham afloat in the Premier League until then.

However, I’m cautious about such a scenario because Allegri is so far beyond West Ham’s typical financial reach as a head coach. I fear Moyes being in a ‘caretaker’ role might just lead to another few years of the same uninspiring, defensive, and indecisive football under Dave.
