News Report: Yankees Still Seen As Top Landing Spot For Superstar Despite Rumored Price…

The New York Yankees can do this by adding to their starting rotation this offseason. Even so, New York is still tied for the most available pitchers.

The Yankees may not make any moves until the price rumors die down, but New York could still surprise some. The best free agent option to help fill out the starting rotation is, of course, 2023 National League Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell. New York has reached out to Snell several times and offered him a contract, but nothing has materialized yet. Even then, a move could still be possible if Snell’s asking price falls within a range New York is comfortable with. Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller listed the best spots for Snell to land and ranked the Yankees fifth. “After they gave Yoshinobu Yamamoto $300 million, the only money they spent was the $37 million they gave him. (Marcus Stroman),” Miller said. “Why couldn’t they sign Snell? However, his needs are likely to decrease as spring training approaches. Or maybe New York will be more willing to spend on Snell because they remember the disappointment of the non-Gerrit Cole part of the 2023 rotation.” Such a move should still be considered improbable, but a strange thing happened.
