Steve Kerr’s recent comparison between the Footprint Center and a South Beach nightclub continues to gain traction, with Evan Fournier of the New York Knicks becoming the latest player to support the Warriors head coach’s statement.After finishing playing in Phoenix last week, Fournier recalled his experience at the Footprint Center: “By the way, the Phoenix arena definitely feels like a club. Kerr was right🤣.The saga of Kerr’s comments at Suns Arena extended to a DJ remixing the clip during a halftime show at one of the Suns’ games last week.
The Footprint Center’s social media account even briefly changed its bio to “Downtown Phoenix’s Newest South Beach Club.”Then, during the Warriors’ next meeting with the Suns in Phoenix, Kerr made sure he was ready by heading into the arena with his headphones on. With Evan Fournier of the New York Knicks joining Kerr’s team, it will be interesting to see if any other players commentate over the Footprint Center audio system.
