Injury Update: Suns get bad injury news on star super guard…..

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Suns guard Bradley Beal is expected to be out for “a few weeks” due to the right ankle injury he suffered Friday night.

However, medical examinations did not reveal any major injuries to the ankle, Charania added. The injury occurred in the first quarter when Beal twisted his ankle while landing on Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo’s foot during a shot attempt. DiVincenzo received a Flagrant 1 foul for entering Beal’s landing zone. Beal made his free throws and left the court unassisted, but he limped on the way to the locker room. According to an ESPN report, X-rays came back negative, but he was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Friday’s game was just the sixth of the season for Beal, who has been dealing with back problems since the start of training camp. The Suns had a record-breaking Big Three in mind when they acquired Beal from Washington in an offseason trade, but Kevin Durant and Devin Booker also struggled with injuries and all three were rarely on the court at the same time.“Injuries are part of the game,” Phoenix coach Frank Vogel said via the ESPN report. “I’m disappointed for him. You could see the disappointment on his face from behind. That’s my biggest concern, keeping him awake. He’ll be back soon, but it’s been a frustrating season for him.”
