The Chicago Bulls broke a two-game slump with an impressive 124-116 victory over the Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
Four different Bulls scored at least 23 points, marking the first time since 1969. The Bulls also raced to a huge 25-point lead in the first before the Heat came roaring back. Here are some highlights from the Bulls winSparkling startUnfortunately, the Bulls have made a habit of playing from behind this season, often trailing by double digits in the first quarter. They flipped the script on Thursday and led by as many as 25 points, 33-8, thanks to a hot start in which they made eight of their first 12 attempts, including five three-point bombs. It was a similar scenario to what the Heat did to the Bulls in their Nov. 18 game, when they started out 22-1. However, all was not well for the Bulls in the first inning, as defensive savvy Alex Caruso re-aggravated his left ankle injury at the 7:08 mark. He didn’t return to the game. Zach LaVine’s absence left an opening in the rotation. Junior guard Ayo Dosunmu was tasked with filling some of those minutes. Unfortunately for the Illinois product, he has struggled to score field goals, going 5-for-18 in his last three games. However, against the Heat on Thursday, Dosunmu came through, scoring 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting. “The shooting efficiency is outstanding, but I thought he was really good defensively and made good decisions when he got in and kicked the ball out,” Donovan said.“He got on the court and there was constant pressure on the basket and the rim, which opened things up for him and he was able to play from there.”
