Blecher Report is back to what it does best: interactive rankings. NBA B/R writer Adam Fromal released his first updated list of the top 50 players for the first time this regular season. It’s no surprise to him that two members of the Phoenix Suns are included, but where have Kevin Durant and Devin Booker gone? Booker finished 27th, behind players like Kristaps Porzingis , Alperen Sengun and rookie Chet Holmgren. Even though 27th seems extremely risky, Fromal admits the ranking is misleading: “Congratulations to Devin Booker for achieving the most misleading ranking of all,” he writes. “Injuries have limited the dynamic full-back to just 11 appearances during the 2023-24 season, which is a shame given he combines his impressive goalscoring ability with the best passing performance of his career, with a averaged 27.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.4. assists. » a score of 47.2 points/39.7/93.3. Booker finished ninth in the initial preseason rankings and will almost certainly be nine instead of 27 at the end of the regular season. His accomplice in Durant has done much better, going from eight to six at this point.Fromal continues to praise Durant for being on track to become the first player to average 30 PPG in his age 35 season, and it looks like the Slim Reaper isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The players who finished ahead of Durant were Tyrese Haliburton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic.
