The Michigan football awards are starting to roll in. On Wednesday, CBS Sports named Zak Zinter and Mike Sainristil as All-Americans, and now on Thursday USA TODAY came out with its All-American teams and three Wolverines were selected.Will Johnson, Zak Zinter and Blake Corum were all named to the USA TODAY All-American team.Zinter was the only Wolverine to make the first-team All-American list. Zinter suffered a season-ending injury against Ohio State, but his play on the field did not go unnoticed. Zinter has been a key part of back-to-back Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines the past two years. And the Wolverines are once again finalists for the award – Zinter was once again a key piece.Here are some highlights about Zinter, via MGoBlue:

• Two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2021, ’22)

• Played in 45 games with 42 starts on the offensive line; all but one at right guardBlake Corum:USA TODAY named Corum to the second team.Corum was a unanimous All-American a year ago and Corum still stands out with his exceptional play on the field. The senior broke Michigan’s single-season rushing touchdown record and is currently at 24 on the season. • Played 43 career games off the field with 26 starts Will Johnson:Johnson was also voted to the second team roster.The true sophomore has played in 10 games this season. He battled through some injuries, but Johnson showed the nation why he was a coveted five-star recruit straight out of high school. Johnson has blocked opposing teams’ No. 1 WR for most of the season and his potential is on another level.
