Wolves are reportedly showing interest in Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi ahead of the January transfer window.
The Telegraph are reporting this evening that Wolves are looking to complete a deal for the talented 20-year-old but face competition for the Nigerian youngster.
Durosinmi has only been with Viktoria Plzen since the start of the season, after transferring from Karvina in the Czech Republic.
It was recently reported that Gary O’Neil was really keen to sign a proper centre-forward in January in order to give Matheus Cunha more of a free role – and it looks as though Wolves might have identified someone who fits what they’re looking for…
The Telegraph are reporting tonight that Wolves are interested in doing a deal for Durosinmi, but face competition from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt. He has apparently emerged as a ‘top target’.
Wolves have been impressed by the youngster, who has already scored nine goals this season, as well as provided six assists.
It is stated that scouts have been to watch him ‘frequently’ this year and interestingly, that Wolves have actually held talks with Plzen this week over the player.
Czech club Plzen are reported to be seeking a total package worth £10 million and at this stage, personal terms are thought to be a ‘stumbling block’.
It is also mentioned that Durosinmi is actually sidelined with a knee injury at the moment, and is not expected to play again for around another month. He underwent surgery a month ago after damage to his ligaments was detected, according to Plzen’s official website.
The injury is seemingly not putting Wolves off though, as they seek to provide O’Neil with a striker he is seemingly so keen to add.
Wolves have also been linked with Che Adams again recently however, a move for Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia doesn’t appear to be on the cards with Wolves apparently dropping their interest.
