Heading into tonight’s face-off against the Minnesota Timberwolves, widespread anticipation surrounded the Phoenix Suns, with the expectation that their big three would finally be at full strength for the first time this season.
With Devin Booker finally returning from injury after missing almost the entire first half of November, the stars seemed to be aligning for the much-anticipated reveal in front of the home crowd at the Footprint Center.
However, less than an hour before tipoff, it was announced that Bradley Beal would be sidelined due to his lingering back injury.
Beal missed the first seven games of the season due to back spasms, and while he has played in the Suns past three games, it has been obvious that he has been in pain.
Most recently, against the Thunder on Sunday, Beal went to the bench multiple times, holding his back.
Of course, fans were excited to see what the Suns were actually capable of, but the last thing Frank Vogel wants to do is rush Beal back into action, which could potentially cause him to miss even more time.
