As Philippe Clement stole the headlines from Rangers’ weekend win over Hibs, the return of Todd Cantwell from injury has been somewhat understated.

Whilst no-one is getting carried away just yet there were plenty of things to be positive about as a sense of identity immediately returned to a Rangers team bereft of ideas and confidence.

Returning from a lengthy injury lay-off which saw Todd Cantwell missing since that infamous Old Firm defeat in September, a first sighting of the midfielder in over six weeks in the win over Hibs is a major boost to Rangers at this point of the season.

As Philippe Clement looks to get his Rangers team back in fine working order, the presence of the talented Todd Cantwell is most certainly a welcome sight.
The attacking midfielder even registered an assist in the win over Hibs, sliding a no-look pass through for Cyriel Dessers to round off the scoring.
In the weeks and months to come don’t bet against Todd becoming the main story of the game on matchdays and not just an albeit positive subplot either.
