Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes his team has a’really good’ 20-year-old in their ranks.

Harvey Elliott captained England’s Under-21s during the international break, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

According to the BBC Sport website, the Anfield head coach stated that the 20-year-old Reds ace “has become a man” and is a “really good player.”

Elliott has made a name for himself at Liverpool after joining from Fulham in 2019.

He quickly progressed through the ranks at Anfield, thanks to a successful loan spell at Blackburn, and is now a regular in the first squad.

Elliott then had a productive international break with the Young Lions.

He scored twice and assisted once in a 9-1 thrashing of Serbia before captaining the team and contributing another assist in a 3-2 loss to Ukraine.

Elliott will be hoping to play for Liverpool when they face fierce local rivals Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

When asked about Elliott’s England Under-21 achievements, Klopp stated, “Harvey has matured and become a man since he’s been here.”

“He’s a fantastic player, and it was a proud moment for him and his family.”
