Jurgen Klopp is considering changing the front three that started Liverpool’s last Premier League game.
The match began two weeks ago in Brighton with Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah. But, with the Merseyside Derby looming tomorrow, the boss is likely to alter his lineup.
That is, according to the Liverpool ECHO. They suggest that Diogo Jota has a’strong possibility’ of returning to the starting XI tomorrow.
Of course, Jota’s absence versus the Seagulls was not due to poor performance. The 26-year-old was serving a one-match suspension for his costly red card against Tottenham the previous week.
Now that that’s out of the way, it’s been suggested that Jota might make a comeback at Anfield.
Although the Portugal international has been in fantastic form, his return to the starting lineup may not be entirely due to that.
Diaz and Nunez have just returned from lengthy vacations to South America. Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo has only recently returned to training after missing three weeks due to an injury. As a result, it is widely assumed that Jota will be given the nod.
