BOSTON — The Bruins, already dealing with a depleted roster, lost Cole Koepke during the third period of Tuesday’s game against Tampa.
Koepke was blindsided by a hit from Darren Raddysh as he skated up the boards to exit the Bruins’ zone. He fell hard to the ice and remained there for several moments before being assisted off and taken to the dressing room.
Initially, the referees assessed a major penalty for the hit, but after reviewing the video, they decided to rescind it, leaving no call on the play.
The Bruins were left to play the final 10:37 with one less forward. They were already without Mark Kastelic, sidelined by an injury last week against the Lightning, and Charlie McAvoy, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the day.
