Emma Raducanu reveals what she ‘really wants’ in 2025 – there’s only one thing on her mind

The 2024 season was a season of progress rather than making great strides as Raducanu posted a record of 23 wins and 13 losses.

After an injury-hit 2023 campaign, where the 2021 US Open winner played just 10 matches, the 22-year-old rose from 285 to 58 in the rankings.

Various niggles and struggles for consistency, arguably, prevented her from returning to the top 50 in 2024 but Raducanu is “focused” ahead of the new season.

Now, the former world number 10 has outlined what tweaks she will make to get the best out of her game, with the Australian Open just a few weeks away.

It’s been more than three years since Raducanu had her fairytale grand slam run in New York, and heading into 2025 there has been a shift in attitude for the Brit.

While Raducanu is determined to win another slam, that is not the be-all and end-all for the right-hander.

“I want to play more than I did this year. I think now, with my set-up, I’m in a place where I can continue work on the road. So I don’t necessarily need to come back to continue good physical work.
